Three Kinds Of Commercial Paint Sprayers And What They Can Do For You

Just as with any other kind of tool, with commercial paint sprayers you have options. There are pneumatic or air-assisted sprayers. There are airless sprayers. There are even sprayers with turbines when you need a lot of air to spread a lot of paint. Examples of these commercial sprayers are as follows, along with some of the abilities of each sprayer.

Turbine Sprayers

Think "turbo" when you hear "turbine sprayers." These paint sprayers use a lot of air pressure to force the paint out of the sprayer and onto a surface. The particularly nice thing about these sprayers is that they can go from fine mist and light covering to a concentrated spray to cover small areas, like window trim. They are most often used by woodworkers and carpenters, but home construction contractors can use them too.

Handheld Battery-Powered Rechargeable Airless Sprayers

You need zero outlets, zero extension cords, and zero air pressure to get these sprayers to work. You can take these sprayers anywhere to do any job. There are even marine sprayers for painting boats! The fact that these sprayers do not plug in is a definite benefit when you are around water and painting boats. Instead of air pressure, these sprayers use vacuum chambers created by the sprayer guns' motors. Like the turbine sprayers above, you can adjust the spray coverage to suit your commercial painting needs.

Gas Hydraulic Sprayers

If you are working in an auto body shop, finding gas, air compressors, and outlets are not a big deal. That is why gas hydraulic sprayers are ideal in this work environment. These sprayers operate using a small engine powered by gas, like a car engine.

When the motor is revved up and running, hydraulic pressure builds in the line behind the paint chamber. Applications take seconds to minutes to apply rather than minutes to hours. These sprayers can be used inside spray booths in the shop, too, so long as you have adequate ventilation for the exhaust on the sprayer.
